I'm a native Chinese speaker from Malaysia and having strong background in Malay, English, Hokien and Cantonese.
At the moment I am a personal assistant for Gauss Labs Limited, a company based in Germany. For the past 5 years, I have been working as a part time translator and I am seeking more opportunities in this field. I mainly translate and proofread in 3 different languages include English, Malay and Mandarin Chinese (both traditional and modern)
The projects I work on cover a wide variety of subjects, such as Chinese herbs articles, legal documents/agreements, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs), websites, travel articles and more.
I have a bachelor degree in Management, majoring in Marketing and minoring in Psychology and Malay Language. My charge for translation is $0.03 to $0.05/translated word and this is negotiable depends on the length, technical difficulty and urgency.
I am a very diligent translator. I can work weekends and even holidays if a project is urgent. Most importantly, I never missed a deadline.
Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. I will answer any questions and I will even do a small test, if necessary.

Hello Potential Clients and Fellow Freelancers,
My name is Haslina Abdul Hardy but you can call me Haslina. I am an English to Malay translator. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpretation in 2006 from Universiti Sains Malaysia.
Six months after finishing my degree, I got a job in the government sector. In my eighth year I started part-timing as a freelance translator. Now, I've taken the leap in my life and resigned from the sector to be a full-time translator beginning October 2017.
Reminiscing back to my childhood, I realized that I have always wanted to be in this field. In primary school, when asked about my ambition when I grow up, I clearly remember saying I wanted to be an interpreter. Even the teacher was perplexed on what kind of job it was. Well, here I am, not an interpreter but a translator - the same field nevertheless. And a field more known now.
Allow me to introduce myself.
I have been working as an English-Malay translator for the more than 15 years. With strong command in both languages, I am able to provide quality translations to the source copy.
My clients have included, among others, financial institutions, government agencies, oil and gas companies, and conglomerates. Among the documents that I have translated were Terms and Conditions (about 5,000 words) for financial institutions and Annual Reports (about 30,000 words).
It is a practice for me to proofread all translations that I have completed numerous times to ensure that the delivered product is free of any errors and as accurate as possible.
