I'm a freelance translator working with English, Japanese, French, and Italian. So far, I've mainly dealt with the translation of website contents, medicine-related documents, technical material, and so forth. I deem accuracy, professionalism, and affability to be just three of the keys to attaining the best results in my area of expertise; also, those three words are only three of the many keywords that could describe my way of working.
My mission is to give the best solutions in order to dissolve linguistic and cultural barriers and reflect in the best way possible the original message and style of the source text, while making the target text sound natural and native. I take pride in the fact that my work is characterized by both punctuality and an attention to details that aims to create a highly custom-made high quality translation.
My name is Laura and I'm a freelance translator. My native language is Italian and my working languages are Japanese (I have a degree in “Languages, cultures and societies of Asia and Mediterrean Africa” at Ca’ Foscari University), English (I have B2 First) and French (I have the Franco-Italian high-school double degree EsaBac). I worked as translator for Novelle Leggere site and currently I’m collaborating as translator with a slot machines site. My expertise areas are manga, marketing and legal translation.
I'm a graduate student from Ca' Foscari University of Venice, about to graduate from the master course in Japanese language, Institution and Economis of Asia from the same univerity. Currently I have few experiences in translating but I'm willing to do some experience and if the case requires it, also for free.
My mother tongue is Italian. I have seven years' experience in the field of translation/localization. I translate from English (mainly), Spanish and Japanese to Italian. Currently I live in Japan where I am doing collaboration as a freelance with different companies. I know how to use Trados, MemoQ and Wordfast Anywhere. I usually prefer to use Trados 2014 but I have no problem to use the other software. I am very organized person and I always respect due time. I am very motivated to face new challenges.
Hello, my name is Marianna and I am a native Italian speaker. I have had the immense privilege of spending considerable time in both the United States and Japan. From these life-changing experiences I have gained proficiency in both English and Japanese, two languages I love very much. But it wasn`t until I truly began delving into Japanese that I realized just how deep the connection is between me and this language.
I have been working both as a language teacher (I teach both English and Japanese at different levels) and as a translator for many years now and I have found that my strongest interest lies in translating Japanese towards Italian or English, particularly anything related with food or cooking.
I am also a blogger and have been writing about Japan and Japanese culture since 2006. Please visit my website at www.biancorossogiappone.it
You can most certainly trust me for the utmost precision in my translation as well as in keeping you up-to-date with my progress.
