Since 2006, I have been working as a journalist and then a translator for various companies in Israel, Canada and more (Estonia, Egypt and USA). I come from a very creative background, and English and Hebrew are both my mother tongue, even though I grew up in Israel. I spoke English at home since infancy with my mom, and Hebrew with my dad/siblings and outside of the home. I completed by university degree in Israel and then a post-graduate degree in Copywriting in Canada. I have been working with various clients throughout the years, among them Israeli newspapers ynet.ca and News1.co.il, Hebrew/English written Toronto newspaper Shalom Toronto, Israeli news site Jerusalem Online, and several translating clients. In recent years, I have translated subtitles for Netflix Israel (Party of 5 Season 6 and The Real Ghostbusters) as well as 4 Erotica novels from English to Hebrew, through an Israel company called bookme.co.il. I also regularly translate for a website called familytour.co.il.

My name is Ilana, and I'm from Israel. My parents immigrated from Russia in the 70s. I speak native Hebrew from the country and native Russian from home. My First Husband was an American and I lived in the US for 10 years, so I also have a very good English. I'v been a translator, proofreader and editor in the Scientology organization since 2001 till present. Concurrently I worked in companies that specialize in diets or healthy nutrition, published a couple of books on the subject and have a blog on healthy lifestyle - https://healthy-life.style/en/ . can't upload a lot of portfolio items as everything is copyrighted, but my blog is a good example as it's written in Hebrew and right now I'm translating it to English.
